Virtual attendance policy and regular attendance equation
Knowledge channels Training Center considers electronic attendance as equivalent and as important as regular attendance. Accordingly, trainees are required to attend classes that are synchronized by default at the specified times that appear on the platform’s calendar and also send notifications on their devices.
The student is expected to provide hours of simultaneous attendance by at least 85%.
Students are expected to participate fully in the e-training class as if they were in the regular class.
Students who are not in the virtual classroom at the start of the class will be marked as absent. Online students are subject to the same attendance policy and procedures as students in regular training. However, participation is defined in a different way. The attendance of trainees at online courses is defined as active participation in the course as described in the individual course curriculum.
Instructors should not consider student registration to enter the learning management system for the course as participation in that course. Only “academically related” activity in a particular course is counted for participation in that course.
It is the sole responsibility of the trainee to stay on track with any course-related updates. If the trainee fails to meet these attendance requirements for one day, he will be granted an absence for the day. Trainees must attend at least 85% of the course. If the trainee fails to meet these attendance requirements, it may be recommended to withdraw from the course. In case of expected absence, the trainee should contact the instructor in advance and make arrangements to complete the required tasks. In the event of an emergency (illness / accident or death in the family), the trainee should contact the instructor as soon as possible to provide documents supporting the need for any late submission of a graduated task or activity.
– The allowed number of trainees in virtual classrooms is a maximum of 35, and the number can increase by 25% based on:
Type of course.
Number of activities and interactions in virtual classrooms.
Instructor’s ability and experience in delivering virtual classroom courses.
We undertake to use e-learning systems that support different types of devices with different operating systems and be compatible with all device screens including tablets and smartphones.
